It's Friday~!

It's almost here! Only 34 days left till the big move-in. We are quite excited. Going to spend the weekend packing up some little stuff like books and then going to spend the rest of just relaxing. How about those Lakers last night? I say Waa Waa to the Celtics and Pierce. You suck! Hope we get to face you again in June...

It's almost March Madness time. My Sun Devils pulled it out last night. Plus Washington lost. We just need to keep it up against the Beavers tomorrow and then against 'SC and UCLA next week. USC is my other favorite team, so I really hope they can play well next week and make it to the tournament. I can't wait!

I start rehearsals for "A Chorus Line" in 2 weeks. Really looking forward to that. It's going to be nice playing a musical again. It's been awhile.

Anyway, life is good. My mother-in-law is currently on a Missionary trip in Africa for 3 months. So please do send your prayers her way. She's doing some great things over there and we are all very proud of her.

Have a good weekend...

The Promise Land!!!

Life is good, but I feel like I've just been biding time till we move into our new apartment in March. It's such a massive upgrade for us that we can't help but get excited about the possibilities of the future. We know that this is going to be the place where we have our first babies. This is a good place where we belong for years to come.
However, with that being said, it's so tough getting to that point. 41 days seems like such a long ways away. I feel like just chugging along to the finish line is such a tough thing to do. I don't know how I was able to wake up this week to go substitute teach, but I somehow found it in me to do it. Knowing that the money I am making is soon going to turn into a beautiful new sectional couch and nice new furniture is exciting.
I am playing in a production of "A Chorus Line" in the end of February-March. It should be a really great show. I know that the orchestra is going to sound good for sure. Other than that, I am just practicing and trying to make my way into the business. I'm blessed to have that degree to get me a job during the day when I am not playing or auditioning. Speaking of which, I just auditioned for an Italian version of "Candid Camera." I should hear back next week.

41 days...It's not that far away, right???

Summer~!

Today was a good day! Laid by the pool, played drums, BBQed some great food, and had a blast with friends. Everytime I go thought a summer day like today, it makes me want to retire. Is that too much to ask? I am ready to play drums on the hit album, collect royalty, buy the big house, and retire to spend the days with my beautiful wife and kids. I'm all about it...

I AM BACK!!!

Well I am back! It's the start of a new baseball season. A season which will see the Dodgers win the World Series for the first time since 1988. I know I have said this before, but I will writing on a weekly basis or just whenever the hell I feel like it. If there are any topics you would like me to touch up on, send me an email.

I just want to bitch about the Houston Astros for a minute...1) They completely suck coming out of the opening day gate. 2) With too much hype, they sign Roger Clemens to a ceremonious and prorated 19 million dollars (due to his uniform number). 3) They climb back over .500 and had one of the hottest records in baseball since the All-Star break. 4) Houston trailed the Cardinals by 8 1/2 games on Aug. 19, when the Astros were 72-78. They pulled within a half-game of the lead with a nine-game winning streak that ended Friday night at Atlanta. 5) The Astros went into the final day trailing St. Louis by 1 1/2 games 6) They had Andy Pettitte come out to start Saturday's game on 3 days rest. They won. 7) They put the ball in a rookie's hand and asked him to win his 3rd straight game to start his career. 8) They were facing the Atlanta Braves (who just had their 14 year divisional title streak snapped this year) and John Smoltz (who was Atlanta's bright spot this year). He pitched 6 shutout innings. 9) Houston finished with a record of 82-80. If Houston had won and St. Louis had lost to Milwaukee, the Cardinals would've had to play a makeup game Monday against San Francisco. Then if the Cardinals had lost to San Francisco in the makeup game, they would have had to face Houston for the one game playoff on Tuesday for the division title. The Cardinals ended up 3 and 7 for their last 10 games.

In my opinion, the Astros blew it and they wasted too much money on Roger Clemens. It would have been fine if they would have only given him more run support. That would of made up for 8 losses...

Oh well, GO DODGERS :-)

T.O.

Looking at the title of this blog, you know exactly where I am going with this. What I may say might shock a few of you. But hey, it's my blog. Deal with it!
1) Terrell Owens did not try to kill himself...I think that it's more than just what his publicist/ personal assistant/ trainer/ in-house girlfriend, Kim Etheredge had to say about him. The whole "he has 25 million reasons why he wouldn't do it." It's more than that...I think that he is too narcissistic to do it. 2) T.O. is highly overrated. Even with the ego of Joe Horn, I think that he's the most underrated wide receiver in the National Football League today. Keenan McCardell of the San Diego Chargers or even a Larry Fitzgerald of the Arizona Cardinals would be a better statistical improvement over T.O. 3) Bill Parcells... need I say more? As my good friend Skooter says, he's highly overrated. I couldn't agree more! Surrounds himself with great assistants. That's the way to make yourself look like a genius. Let's name off some of his assistants...Bill Belichick, Eric Mangini, Tom Coughlin, Romeo Crennel, Al Groh, Sean Payton, and Charlie (snot nose) Weis. All head coaches.....I don't remember Parcell's winning a Super Bowl with the NY Jets or with the Dallas Cowboys (oh wait, that could happen this year...or not)...4)Here's an interesting tidbit about him... Parcells was the first coach in football history to be the recipient of the Gatorade Bath, compliments of Harry Carson. As the Giants went on a winning streak during their 1986 Super Bowl run, the team would dump a Gatorade bucket of ice water over Parcells's head. This is a tradition that is now common practice in high school, college, and professional football.

That's all I got...

Oh, and I have decided that I am now a big New Orleans Saints fan. I have always liked them, but I do even more now....Go Saints!

So here are my favs for all the sports.....

MLB: Dodgers (winning the World Series this year)
NFL: New Orleans Saints and Cleveland Browns
NCAA (all sports): Arizona State Sun Devils
NBA: Los Angeles Lakers
NHL: New York Islanders
